Northern Monk was founded in a cellar in Bradford in 2013 before moving its operations to Leeds. In 2025 we returned to the city for the first time, becoming a launch partner for Darley Street Market.

The Northern Monk bar at Darley Street Market has 10 keg lines where you can expect to find Northern Monk favourites including Faith and A Little Faith alongside a rotating pour of new releases. Our house lager is Take Me Home, our match day lager, an easy-going option at 4%. There is also a changing selection of gluten-free and fruit beers.
You’ll also find a fully stocked can fridge, low- and no-alcohol beers, frozen cocktails, wine and spirits for those after something other than a pint.

Our bar team host a monthly quiz on the first Wednesday of every month. It’s free to enter and there’s prizes to be won. The market’s outdoor courtyard also hosts markets, cultural events, family activities and cooking demonstrations throughout the year.
