Always had a positive experience when shopping with Northern Monk. Great product choice, great gifts, delivery is always spot on. Thoroughly recommend them for the products and the shopping experience.
Before we get to the beer, let me say that the delivery lead time is phenomenal: next-day delivery with couriers who are reliable and keep you informed.
I've never written a beer review before. I could use the cliché that I'd rather drink it than write about it, but honestly, I do like to talk about beer. So here goes.
I really enjoy following the 'Fresh from the Old Flax Store' releases each month, and this month's 10 of 12 is truly outstanding. I can't imagine the volume of fresh green hops needed to produce this wonderfully fresh, citric flavour. NM describes it as bursting with stone fruit and orange, and I can't improve on that description. The whole series this year has been a triumph, and I look forward to 11 and 12. However, 10 is going to take some beating.
I'm a big fan of the stronger beers and, in general, think more is more: the extra haze on Heathen, the pronounced maple character in the Imperial Stout, and even more of everything in Even More Faith. I've also enjoyed Milestone 13 (congratulations, NM); however, it sits right on the edge for me.
What does that mean? I'm not yet sure. I think I need a few friends round to discuss it.
I also have some Cuban Patty Melt that I've not started yet. If it's as good as I'm expecting, I'll let you know, if you're interested.
Excellent service. Well packed with fast tracked post and obviously the stout is top notch. Like the rewards system too.
Northern Monk is my go to brewery. I am so glad that its Stout weather again, having enjoyed the DD’s and Hazy IPA’s through the summer, it was with a shout of delight that I found this amazing Imperial Stout, Death by Chocolate in Tesco’s today. I’m sure other shoppers thought I was an nutter 🤔. Oath has been in my basket on each summer visit along with the IPA’s but this is on another level.
Congratulations once again to Northern Monk. 15 cans comfortably resting in the cupboard awaiting my attention.
Keep em coming lads and lasses. One very happy Devon chap.

Very easy navigation, plenty of choices and shipping is quick and secure. DPD is a great partner to manage shipments with, rescheduling deliveries is a breeze.
The monthly releases are not to miss beers, great variety every month and always good beers!
Most of the beers are scoring between 4 and 4.5 on the Untappd app. I shall be ordering more. 😁
Love Northern Monk beers. Excellent company, very quick delivery and an interesting and very tasty range of IPAs and beers. Highly recommend Northern Monk.
Next day delivery for excellent beer? What could be better? Some great hazy beers on my doorstep just after pressing "purchase". This was my third order from Nothern Monk and all have been fantastic!
